Muay Thai

The Art of Eight Limbs

Muay Thai, or Thai boxing, is a combat sport from Thailand that incorporates punches, kicks, knees, elbows, and clinching. We offer classes for beginners and advanced students, starting with a warm-up of jump rope and shadowboxing. The rest of the class focuses on techniques, tactics, and concepts to improve skills for sparring, competition and self-defense.

Jiu Jitsu

The Gentle Art

Jiu Jitsu is a grappling-based martial art focused on control and submission. Students learn takedowns, pins, and submissions like joint locks and strangleholds. Classes emphasize live sparring to apply techniques in a competitive setting, with a focus on safety and injury prevention.

Boxing

The Sweet Science

Boxing focuses on punch techniques, defense, and footwork. Classes begin with jump roping and shadowboxing, followed by mitt work to improve timing, coordination, and technique. Instructors emphasize fundamentals that apply to other combat sports like Muay Thai and MMA.

Strike Fit

Strength & Cardiovascular Training

Strike Fit is a high-intensity strength and conditioning program by The Resistance, featuring HIIT exercises like battle ropes, kettlebells, sprints, and core work. Classes are split between Strike Fit, Strike Endurance, and Strength Fit to focus on different fitness aspects.

Kids Mixed Martial Arts

Building Confidence and Discipline

Our kids program teaches students both striking and grappling. Classes are structured with techniques, live situations, and games. Coaches are experienced in teaching kids effective skills while emphasizing safety, fun, and teamwork. Students who seek to compete in either striking or grappling (with parent’s consent) may speak with coaches for information and competition planning.
